Update: the toughest weeds have popped up, but they are not the beautiful wild flowers; they’re mean-looking, F U to humans vegetation.
NY State Dept of Transportation is the one destroying all the wild, native vegetation on the wide divider on Route 22 between White Plains and Armonk, creating an ugly wasteland. waste of taxpayer money. Not only have they dug up the flowering plants, but tried to get rid of as much soil as possible, leaving the exposed, rusted metal divider.
Spoke to one of the workers who said it was IBM who complained about the wild flowers and native plants along 22. Those plants helped to clean the car exhaust and other air pollutants, attracted pollinating bees.
So, if what the worker said is true, IBM is anti-environment, destroyer of natural habitats for no reason other than for the love of ugly.
